Formal Models in Multiagent Systems
In the literature one can find various different definitions about what an agent or a multiagent system is. There is a large number of competing models of multiagent systems both formal and informal models. We analyze these models and try to identify similarities and conceptual differences.
We aim in this project to give a formal definition that can be mapped to the most important models that can be found in the literature. We want to have a universal definition that can be a good starting point for studies in the area of multiagent systems.
The results of our project should favor the notion of multiagent systems in our working group and especially provide good definitions that advance the quality of our teaching in the area of multiagent systems. Also the multiagent systems' community could benefit from our results.
