The software engineering group is a research group of the Heinz Nixdorf Institute. Prof. Schäfer is board member of the Software Quality Lab (s-lab). In addition, he is on the board of directors of the Project Group Mechatronic Systems Design at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT. Jun.-Prof. Becker is an associate of the Software Quality Lab (s-lab).
On May 2nd, Mr. Stefan Henkler successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Ein komponentenbasierter, modellgetriebener Softwareentwicklungsansatz für vernetzte mechatronische Systeme" (A component-based model-driven software engineering approach for mechatronic systems).
